Our History

Originating from the 2017 “REV Connect” program, NY Grid CONNECT evolved to address the “Reforming the Energy Vision” strategy. Since then, it has enabled State utility companies to collaborate with innovators, accelerating solutions to significant energy challenges.

In 2023, after the Climate Action Council advanced a Scoping Plan for New York’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction, renewable energy use increase, and clean energy transition, REV Connect transformed into NY Grid CONNECT, with a refocused aim to modernize the State’s electric grid.

Guidehouse

Guidehouse is a leading provider of global advisory, digital, and managed services. Guidehouse has been facilitating the NYSERDA Grid CONNECT program since its inception under REV Connect in 2017, providing support across several of Grid CONNECT’s objectives.

AGILe​

The Advanced Grid Innovation Laboratory for Energy (AGILe) is a world-class power systems laboratory and testing facility inaugurated by NYPA in 2017, and expanded in 2022. AGILe supports NYSERDA and the Grid CONNECT initiative by performing modeling and testing services essential for understanding the technologies that define the modernized grid and analyzing grid challenges and potential solutions.
